Best eclair

Delorme bakery: A 17 cm long pastry filled with the finest vanilla cream and a dark chocolate coating: this wonderful choux pastry is available from the Delorme bakery in Burg. For me, it's the best eclair I've ever eaten. Airy choux pastry, crunchy chocolate and a custard filling that holds the eclair together. It is also called a love bone. It is probably called this because couples in love used to share the pastry. Sharing is possible, but it's best to get two or three at once. It's best to pre-order them from Delorme Bakery in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. Because there is no guarantee that there will still be some in the counter in the afternoon.

In addition to eclairs, they also serve Prasselkuchen and Aufläufer, which you should definitely try! Prasselkuchen are rectangular puff pastry pillows with crumble and lemon icing. Rolled cakes usually have small bumps and are thin rectangular pieces of pastry that taste like something between a biscuit and a cake.
Bread and rolls are available in the bakery in a wide variety of flavours: From rye to wholemeal spelt bread and natural sourdough bread, there is a large selection.

Bakery Delorme is an artisan bakery that is now run by the third generation. Bakers have been working there since 1928, spoiling their customers with delicious bread, cakes and, of course, the best eclairs for miles around!
